The poem’s Big Yellow Taxi and Field Below are not just poems; there have been multiple music artists who have actually sang these poems as songs. The two poems both link to the same meaning, which happens to be “Missing Nature”.
They both talk about how they both miss nature, Big Yellow Taxi talks about how their use to be a beautiful place of nature, then they paved a parking lot but they actually meant a parking lot as a big city. Also in the poem Field Below the woman talks about how she lives in a big city that’s boring and she misses the country with fields and everything. So both of these poems talk about how they miss nature.
