My reaction to the story “Dead Man’s Path” was astonished. The reason why I say that is because, that I don’t understand why the Headmaster wouldn’t let them keep the path for the burial ground. All that they should have done was put a fence on the side that the paths was facing and cover it so you couldn’t see all the people going to the burial ground of so no one could enter the school grounds. If I was that headmaster I would be more than happy to have that on my school grounds because it would e a major perspective of the school and the school would possibly get more attention from it.
The headmaster in the story was just too stuck up to see that what the priest wanted was acceptable; it wouldn’t have done any harm. But to my opinion the headmaster and his wife got what they deserved, maybe they shouldn’t have been so selfish and hardhearted. I think the moral of this story is don’t be greedy and selfish and everyone will be happy.
